Find an opponent or invite a friend
- Open Online Duel in the app.
- Choose a quick match, or create a room and share its code with your friend.
- Check the selected language, duel type and entry amount.
- Wait until both players are ready, then follow the match screen.
Both players need a working connection. When sharing a room code, also tell your friend which language you selected. The website's illustrative demo does not connect to a live duel.
Set secret words for each other
The word-exchange option lets each player choose a secret word for the other. Select a word in the room's language and submit it when requested. Wait for the app to accept both words before starting the search.
Read the result rules and timer shown for this option. It has different finish conditions from the shared-word race, so do not assume that every duel is decided in the same way. Use the final result screen to see who won.
Check the coin entry amount
Coin-entry duels combine the players' entry amounts into a pool. In version 1.2.0, the winner receives 90% of that pool. For example, if two players each enter with 100 coins, the pool is 200 and the winner's payout is 180 coins. That is the total payout, not 180 coins of profit; after their own 100-coin entry, the net gain is 80.
Check the amount in the room before committing coins. This example explains the calculation and does not require you to choose a 100-coin room. Available amounts are shown in the app.
Friend mode is a separate challenge
Friend mode lets you set a custom word for someone to guess without using the live duel format. Hints are disabled there. Choose this mode for a personal puzzle; choose Online Duel when you want a match against another player.
If the room fails to connect, a word is rejected or a result seems inconsistent, use the troubleshooting guide. Include the room code and approximate time in a private support message.
